Underslung cranes are used mainly in spaces with low halls (small height of hoist) and if low crane lifting capacity is sufficient (cranes usually have low and very low lifting capacity – from several tens of kilograms up to some few tons).
On the main girder there is suspended the travelling pulley-block trolley. Various gripping appliances can be suspended on its hook of bottom block.
