Crane lift components

AKO Lift brakes

The lifting shoe brake is designed for braking of the brake disk. It is designed as articulated assembly of levers, controlled by electro-hydraulic releasing device, and it is equipped with automatic compensator of the brake wear.

The compensator of the brake wear serves to automatic (unattended) adjustment of lever mechanism of brake in dependence on the value of brake lining wear so, in order, the necessary braking moment shall be kept all the time in the prior determined tolerance.

The use of this brake, mainly at technological cranes, fundamentally reduces the need of service works, through which the increasing of crane operating ability, limiting of breakdowns in technology and crane downtimes are achieved. Last but not least, it considerably contributes to the increasing of work safety.
The advantage of the used concept of compensator is observing of the basic connecting dimensions of brake and also its original space. Therefore, it is possible to use this system either by new brakes, or with modifications also by brakes of the present operating cranes.
