Double-shoe and double-spring brakes are used for braking of crane and crane trolley travelling gears. They have infinitely variable braking moment from 0 to its maximum.
Travel brake
Drum shoe brake consists of the base, levers swing mounted by means of pivots, and electro-hydraulic brake-releasing device. The brake shoes with lining, that transmit the braking force of springs with lever transmission to the brake drum, are fixed by means of pivots to levers.
The use of brake with self-adjustable jaws, mainly at technological cranes, fundamentally reduces the need of service works, through which the increasing of crane operating ability, limiting of breakdowns in technology and crane downtimes are achieved. Last but not least, it considerably contributes to the increasing of work safety.
