Gearboxes for crane lift

Gear boxes are used as a part of drives of all crane mechanisms, mainly for drives of hoists and travels. The connection ends of input and output shafts are performed according the drive type and according to the overall solution of mechanism.

The gear box generally consists of driving and driven shaft, gear assembly and case. Case consists principally of cover and sump. The case of gear box can be designed as casting or weldment, eventually their combination. Lubrication is performed by oil. It can be either forced lubrication (by means of oil gear pump) or splash lubrication.

The size is dependent mainly on motor torque, which is necessary to be transferred from the motor to the own driven crane gear.
