For the Brno City Transport Company, we carried out a complex reconstruction of 2 tram shifts, the aim of which was to increase the reliability, safety and accuracy of the whole system. The project included the technical design, production, delivery, assembly and commissioning of a completely modernized drive and control system for the transfer station.
The delivery included design, construction and calculation work, including static calculations of load-bearing parts, construction documentation, production drawings and complete accompanying documentation - instructions for use, declaration of conformity and certificate of quality and completeness.
As part of the modernization, we delivered a completely new winch for the slide, new running units including wheels, bearings and shafts, as well as drive motors with gearboxes whose speed is continuously controlled by a frequency converter. The electrical installation was completed with a new electrical switchboard, control panels with safety elements, a new power line collector, end switches for the travel and an anti-collision system with optical and acoustic signalling (flashing lights, LED reflectors, anti-collision sensors).
The assembly work included the dismantling of the original mechanical and electrical components, installation of new travel units and a complete 105 m long rope gate, including an automatic rope guidance system. Once the installation was completed, the affected parts of the structure were treated with a new coating.
Finally, the mechanical and electrical parts were inspected, functional tests were carried out, operators were trained and complete documentation was handed over according to the requirements of the client.
